Referral Partnerships

A relationship we extend to
a select few.
Professionals and firms occasionally come across clients whose needs sit precisely in our field — corporate structuring, compliance, cross-border setup, tax. For a small number of them, we open a referral partnership. It is straightforward, well-documented, and built on the same standard of care we bring to every engagement.

When you refer a client to us, you are lending them your judgement. We take that seriously — which is why our work tends to reflect well on the person who made the introduction. A good referral is not a favour you do for us; it is a service you do for your client, and we intend to keep it that way.

A partnership worth putting in writing.

Good arrangements deserve clear terms. Our standard Referral Partnership Agreement sets out the consideration, how introductions are recorded, confidentiality, and the limits of each side's responsibilities — kept deliberately concise.

Questions foreign clients ask first

The early questions, answered straight.

No. Incorporation is done remotely. Directors and shareholders sign documents in their own jurisdiction, witnessed and apostilled (or notarised, depending on country). We coordinate everything else from Mumbai.

A specific, finite list — defence beyond a threshold, certain media, multi-brand retail, lottery, atomic energy and a few others — needs government approval, sectoral caps, or is prohibited. We check this before we discuss structure.

Fixed-fee for defined setup work; retainer or matter-by-matter thereafter. The engagement letter sets out every item before work begins, in your preferred currency where possible.

For most sectors under the automatic FDI route: 6–8 weeks from engagement letter to a working entity with a bank account and registrations. Approval-route sectors take longer; we will tell you the realistic timeline before you sign anything.

Yes — most international clients retain us on an annual basis for MCA filings, FEMA / FDI reporting, income tax, GST and the ongoing regulatory work. Your named partner stays the same.

Routinely. We work alongside the client's home-jurisdiction legal and tax advisors and provide the India-side input they need — in their format, on their timeline.
